Denver, Düsseldorf Cathie Wood is celebrated like a rock star by many investors. They admire the US investor for her bold predictions and risky bets; last year she achieved a return of more than 150 percent with her flagship fund Ark Innovation (ARKK).
But Wood’s polarizing style has also brought in opponents – who are now attacking again.
Short sellers are betting more heavily than ever on their funds on falling prices, investors are withdrawing billions, and for a few days there has even been an inverse ETF, the Tuttle Capital Short Innovation ETF (SARK). It rises when Wood’s major fund falls. Its original name: Anti-ARK-ETF.
