Opera announced that they have reserved space for artificial intelligence features that will be released in the future in the sidebar and address bar of the browser they have developed. It’s worth noting that new modular design principles are applied to enable a new set of features that includes so-called tab islands.
The developed browser has the ability to automatically and intuitively group websites opened by people according to their content. Authorities underlined that they are working to reduce confusion and increase efficiency while using the scanner.

Stating that they are doing research on the subject, Opera stated that users are overwhelmed by the number of tabs they have and they wish their browsers would do more for them. While the browser is designed to create tab islands on its own, users can also group pages manually.
Users can drag and drop websites between tab islands or create a new one by pressing the CTRL or Command button and clicking on the websites they want to group before right-clicking on the “create tab island” option. In addition to the tab islands, Opera One will come with ChatGPT, ChatSonic, and other AI apps enabled by default.
The company introduced sidebar integration for AI chatbots in March, allowing users to quickly launch them in a separate window in the browser. It is estimated that the stable version will be available to users in a few months.
