OnePlus 10 will come with Snapdragon 8 Gen 1!
The company’s CEO, Pete Lau, said in a statement that he plans to continue international competition using cutting-edge processors in the future. He also said that although he did not explicitly mention the OnePlus 10 model during his speech, “OnePlus’ next-generation new products will be the first products to be equipped with the next-generation Snapdragon 8.”
OnePlus has used Snapdragon’s latest and most powerful processor in all its high-end models released in the past years. Since the OnePlus 10 family will be the next flagship model of the company, it is almost certain that it will come to these devices if different products are not introduced by surprise.
In recent years, the company has been in a very tight competition with rival manufacturers such as Xiaomi and Huawei. Not only does it introduce a new model yearly in its flagship line. It also regularly refreshes its most popular devices, the mid-range OnePlus Nord series. These models are preferred by users because they are seen as both budget-friendly and reliable.
What will the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 offer?
Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 will be Qualcomm’s most advanced 5G mobile platform ever. Phones using this processor will be able to reach download speeds of up to 10 Gigabit. In addition, flagship devices using this chip will be able to achieve better camera features thanks to 18-bit mobile IPS or image signal processor.
The processor also comes with a next-generation built-in AI engine that enables manufacturers and developers to continue innovating in the field of mobile AI. It is also known that it will already be found on devices such as Xiaomi 13, Moto Edge X30, Realme GT2 and Oppo Find X4.
OnePlus 10 features
Although the spring launch of the OnePlus 10 series is only a few months away, what we will encounter in terms of technical features is more or less known. According to estimates, this device will have 2 different versions called OnePlus 10 and OnePlus 10 Pro. In addition, just like we encountered last year, we can see the OnePlus 10R model only for the Indian market.
There is no clarity yet about the standard OnePlus 10. But the screen of the Pro model will likely come with an LTPO type panel, 120Hz refresh rate, 6.7-inch QHD+ and curved. It is also speculated that there will be at least two RAM options, 8GB and 12GB RAM (both LPDDR5).
Of course, in addition to this, it is expected to come with UFS 3.1 flash storage, a 5,000 mAh battery that will support 125W charging. As for the cameras, there will be a triple array on the back with 48 Megapixel, 50 Megapixel and 8 Megapixel lenses. The front camera is still unknown. In addition, thanks to its IP68 certificate, it will be waterproof and dustproof to a depth of 1.5 meters.
