Nvidia wants to continue its momentum with the RTX series. The company introduced the new generation RTX series at the GTC 2022 event it held in September. GeForce RTX 4080, one of the most important models of the series, showed up in the performance test.
GeForce RTX 4080 ranks between RTX 3090 Ti and RTX 4090 in performance
Nvidia introduced the RTX 4090, RTX 4080 12GB and RTX 4080 16GB graphics cards. However, the company had canceled the 12GB version shortly after the introduction. RTX 4080 16GB, which will be released next week overclocking and gaming performancepopped up on the ChipHell forums.
Performance testing was done with games like Forza Horizon 5, Call of Duty Modern Warfare II, Cyberpunk 2077, Red Dead Redemption 2 and Shadow of the Tomb Raider. GeForce RTX 4080 reached quite high values. The graphics card has found a place between the RTX 3090 Ti and RTX 4090 with its performance. It even offered a performance close to the RTX 4090 in some games.

On the other hand, Nvidia announced that it canceled the 12GB version of the GeForce RTX 4080. The reason is the performance difference with the 16GB version. So much so that the difference between the two can be up to 30 percent. However, the company will not trash its processor. Thus, the company will sell the suspended model under the name RTX 4070 Ti.
