Berlin, Dusseldorf, Munich Germany is still threatened with a serious gas crisis. It remains unclear whether, and if so to what extent, Russian gas will again be delivered to Germany via the Nord Stream 1 pipeline. On Thursday, the maintenance of the Baltic Sea pipeline should normally end and the gas flow will start again. However, Russian President Vladimir Putin has already threatened to significantly reduce deliveries.
The first small deliveries have already been accepted, as confirmed by the gas market researchers from ICIS and the President of the Federal Network Agency, Klaus Müller, via Twitter. “The first pre-registrations for tomorrow are now available,” ICIS explained to the Handelsblatt. As a rule, the required natural gas is requested by the shipper and then confirmed by the supplier, in this case Gazprom.
According to ICIS expert Andreas Schröder, individual reports for Thursday are even slightly higher than before the pipeline was serviced. However, this does not say whether gas will actually flow through Nord Stream 1 on Thursday.
