Berlin, Dusseldorf, Munich After the end of routine maintenance, gas should flow through the Nord Stream 1 pipeline again on Thursday: According to industry circles, the first small deliveries have already been confirmed. An insider reports to the Handelsblatt that they are now waiting for the requested gas quantities to be confirmed for the entire day.

“The first nominations for tomorrow are now available,” the gas market research company ICIS confirmed to the Handelsblatt on Wednesday afternoon. Preliminary data from the network operator Gascade also give reason to expect the first gas deliveries.

As a rule, the required natural gas is first requested by the shipper and then confirmed by the supplier, in this case Gazprom. Appropriate nominations are a prerequisite for the transport of significant quantities.

For Thursday, individual reports are even slightly higher than before the pipeline was serviced, reports ICIS expert Andreas Schröder. However, this does not say whether gas will actually flow through Nord Stream 1 on Thursday. Registrations are subject to change until shortly before actual delivery.
