Famous broadcaster, in his X post “Okay, I’m still a little shocked, but I wanted to let you know. A few weeks ago, I went to the dermatologist for my annual skin/mole check that Jen had pre-arranged for me. I had a mole on the bottom of my foot that they wanted to remove, just to be on the safe side. This looked like a melanoma to me.” It’s back, but doctors are optimistic I caught it at an early stage. A biopsy was performed because a blackhead appeared and they removed a larger area around the melanoma in the hopes that under the microscope they would clearly see the non-melanoma edges and we would know we had it. “I’m grateful to have hope of finding this early, but please consider this (the statement) as a public service announcement to get skin checks.” he said.
