Video sharing app TikTok announced in a statement on Thursday that it has entered the crypto world. The app releases NFT collection for TikTok influencers like Lil Nas X, Bella Poarch, Curtis Roach, Brittany Broski and more.
The first sale of the collection will take place on October 6, 2021. The collection will include six clips, including singer Bella Poarch’s music video “M to the B – Millie B”, which garnered 61 million likes on TikTok and shattered the internet. There will also be a stop-motion video of singer Lil Nas X that received 3.4 million likes.
TikTok has over 1 billion users, most of whom are young, which means the sale will bring crypto to the younger audiences.
Nick Tran, TikTok’s head of global marketing, said in a statement, “Now, fans can enjoy a moment on TikTok that helps shape the internet while supporting their favorite creators.” used the phrases.
The company also reported that the proceeds from the sales will go directly to the creators and NFT artists.
