With this new feature announced by Minister Soylu in his presentation on the 2022 budget of the Ministry of Interior, bureaucracy will decrease and the e-Government application will be expanded. Uploading e-Signature to chip ID cards will provide a significant convenience in official transactions and documents. In addition, transactions in the e-Government application, which serves more than 50 million citizens, will be made easily in this way.

e-Signature, such as wet signature, which is created by hand, allows the same transactions with a normal wet signature, and is created electronically rather than in a physical environment. it doesn’t have to have only one shape. How to get e-Signature?

There are two types of e-Signatures, individual and corporate. When obtaining an individual e-Signature The following documents are required:

• Qualified Electronic Certificate application form with undertaking
• The original of a document that can be used officially, such as an identity card or driver’s license containing the TR identity number of the applicant
• Documents required for corporate e-signature application:
• Qualified Electronic Certificate application form with undertaking

• The original of a document that can be used officially, such as an identity card or driver’s license containing the TR identity number of the applicant
• The original of an activity document obtained from the Trade Registry Office within the last six months

Where is e-Signature used?

From 21 December 2021 e-Signature applications can also be made via e-Government. You will be able to use your e-Signatures in the following areas, especially in areas where wet signature is required:
