New Move in Shiba Inu (SHIB) Adoption: Mainstream Usage Increasing!

Customers of an Australian energy company can now pay their bills with Shiba Inu and other cryptocurrencies via BitPay.

BitPay, a payment service provider, announced today that Australian energy company 1st Energy is accepting various cryptocurrencies, including Shiba Inu, through BitPay.

“1st Energy has become the first energy retailer in Australia to accept cryptocurrencies through their partnership with BitPay. It makes it easier than ever for customers to pay their electricity bills.”

BitPay, Shiba Inu (SHIB) Besides the Bitcoin (BTC), Bitcoin Cash (BCH), Dogecoin (DOGE), Ethereum (ETH), Litecoin (LTC), Wrapped Bitcoin (wBTC) and supports five leading USD-pegged stablecoins (BUSD, DAI, GUSD, USDP and USDC).

Founded in 2014 and currently serving New South Wales, Victoria and Queensland, 1st Energy has become Australia’s first energy retailer to accept cryptocurrency through their partnership with BitPay. The move means the electricity retailer’s customers can now pay their bills using any cryptocurrency offered through BitPay.

BitPay, the world’s largest Bitcoin and cryptocurrency payment service provider, is a platform founded in 2011. Announcing the integration of Shiba Inu into the wallet app in December 2021, the firm allows users to store, buy, trade and spend SHIB.

Shiba Inu adoption is on the rise

Shiba Inu, clothing, technology, fast food, accessories, etc. It has a strong place in many sectors such as, and its use is increasing. SuperJeweler, a New York-based jewelery collection, recently announced that it accepts various cryptocurrencies, including Shiba Inu, via BitPay.

Adam Aron, CEO of movie giant AMC, took to Twitter in late February to announce that his company will add support for BitPay-powered online payments to its mobile app and website on March 19. “BitPay will be live for AMC. Online payments on our website until March 19th, and live on our mobile apps by April 16th, possibly a few days ago.”

As previously reported by KoinFinans, AMC CEO Adam Aron announced on Twitter in late February that his company will add support for BitPay-powered online payments to its mobile app and website on March 19:

“BitPay will be available for AMC online payments on our website on March 19 and on our mobile apps on April 16… BitPay and hence AMC will soon accept Doge Coin and Shiba Inu.”

The Shiba Inu team has also signed a “next generation, very strong” partnership with the John Richmond fashion company. As a result of the partnership, a fashion collection is planned to be released in the form of 10,000 non-fungible tokens (NFTs). Physical versions of these tokens will be presented to the audience during Milan Fashion Week.
