Fiat is currently present in many continents. Although it operates in other continents, the company approaches the European market differently and attaches much more importance to it. In this sense, the company made a new statement. According to the statement, the company will introduce 4 new electric cars for the European market.
While 3 of these cars will be Crossovers, the other will appear as hatchbacks. The hatchback model will compete with the Ford Fiesta, Volkswagen Polo and Opel Corsa. According to the statements made, although the dimensions of the vehicle are largely similar to the Punto, which has been discontinued, it will not bear the Punto name.
One of the crossover cars will be called Panda. It was stated that the design of all of their vehicles is ready and they are brought to a level that will pass mass production. The CEO of the company, Olivier François, made the following remarks in his statements:
“Fiat should be the Tesla of the people and offer electric cars to everyone. Obviously, we need to reduce the prices of electric cars. We will be ready by 2027, but we can probably be ready before. This will depend on the cost. I want us to be the first mass-market brand to sell only electric cars.”
François, who also made statements about the electric version of Panda, one of Fiat’s favorite cars, said the following about the vehicle:
“You’ll see smaller cars and bigger crossovers and you’ll recognize Panda DNA. The panda was iconic not because of its shape, but because of its philosophy and spirit. We will try to capture this with a design that is somewhat reminiscent of it. Panda has to be a bit robust and simple.”
