According to new claims, Xbox’s June event is promising. Based on a recent trademark application from Bethesda, fans are speculating that a new Doom game is coming.
The new Doom game may be announced at Xbox’s June event!
Bethesda has applied for a new trademark under the name “IDKFA”. Those who know the Doom series will also recognize the name “IDKFA” as this is one of the famous cheat codes for the original Doom. This code radically changed the gaming experience by giving players access to all weapons, keys, full ammo and armor.
Of course, this is an assumption for now, it is unclear whether this trademark exactly indicates a new Doom game. Still, many Doom fans are hopeful that Microsoft might announce a new Doom game at its June 9 event. Leaked court documents from last year contained clues about a mysterious game called “Doom: Year Zero.” However, there is still no clear information about what this project is.
The last main game of the Doom series was Doom Eternal in 2020, and the game has been supported with expansion packs since then. Afterwards, with Bethesda’s decision to close some of its studios, uncertainties and concerns arose about the future of the Doom series. With all this, id Software’s silence is enough to excite Doom fans.
Let us remind you that all this information should be considered speculation until Microsoft shares more details on this subject.
