New Dax record high is over 16,200 points – investors should befriend prices above 17,000 points

Dusseldorf The leading German index has passed the 16,200 point mark and at times reached a new record high of 16,266 points. At the close of trading, the stock market barometer was up 0.6 percent at 16,247 points. The previous record was on Monday yesterday at 16,150 points.

The series of new record highs seems to be endless. There have been seven new records since the beginning of last week. Most investors are convinced that the current year-end rally is not over yet. There is no other way of explaining the low turnover on trading days with new record highs. Nobody sells because they believe in even higher prices.

Even if the willingness to sell has increased according to the current Handelsblatt survey Dax Sentiment, there is no inconsistency in investor sentiment that suddenly suggests a sharp fall in prices. For the sentiment expert Stephan Heibel, in this environment, “setbacks are only breather or even buying opportunities”.
