More than half of Netflix users watch anime
Netflix released 40 new anime titles in 2021. Of course, it should be noted that this issue is not limited to cartoons made in Japan, as Anime News Network has stated. In other words, the content made and published in the West is also under the category of anime. Therefore, the viewing and page view data announced by Netflix covers all of them.
If we look at the general rates, Netflix says that 90 percent of its users in Japan watch this anime type content and intensively demand that new ones be added. In fact, when we look at Japan’s Top10, that is, the most watched 10 content list, we see that animes are constantly here.
Of course, this rate in Turkey is still below the world average. However, it is stated that there is a general trend globally and that the views are increasing. Making a statement on the subject, Netflix official Kohei Obara said at the AnimeJapan 2022 event he attended:
