Frankfurt N26 has big plans: The smartphone bank wants to be ready for an IPO by the end of the year. But instead of a future IPO, N26 is likely to be primarily concerned with one topic at the moment: the numerous incorrect account closures on April 14th of this year.
After co-founder and co-CEO Maximilian Tayenthal had already apologized for the incidents, according to Handelsblatt information, N26 is now paying compensation to those affected, including Pia K.*.
“As compensation for the delay in returning the money and for the inconvenience this has caused you, we are offering you a payment totaling 100 euros,” said the smartphone bank in a letter received last Thursday .
