san francisco According to a media report, Tesla and Twitter boss Elon Musk wants to jump on the success of the text-based chatbot ChatGPT with a new research laboratory for artificial intelligence (AI). Musk has recruited Igor Babushkin, a researcher who recently left Alphabet’s DeepMind AI unit, technology news site The Information reported Tuesday, citing people familiar with the matter.
Musk and Babushkin talked about putting together a team to advance AI research. The project is still in the early stages and there is no concrete plan for the development of specific products, the report quotes from an interview with Babushkin. Musk and Babushkin could not be immediately reached for comment.
