Political parties are keeping up with the Metaverse technology, which has started to be adopted rapidly in our country.

We’re Moving Towards Metaverse!
While Metaverse continues to develop rapidly in our country, Presidential Spokesperson İbrahim Kalın gave a speech at the Islamic Thought Institute (IDE) Spring Term opening conference titled “Our Vision of Knowledge: Yesterday and Today”.
Kalin first pointed out that the expressions “virtual, augmented, mixed, augmented, alternative reality” that we often use today take us to the Metaverse.
“Today, the word existence has been replaced by the word reality. Today, we have come to talk about reality, not the body. This concept, which we refer to as reality, expresses a vision that is extremely elastic and suitable for taking any shape.
So much so that today, when we say virtual, augmented, mixed, augmented, alternative reality, all these take us to the Metaverse.
While we have passed from the concept of a single world to the concept of an infinite universe with multiple worlds, now we are faced with another definition of reality, the metaverse.”
Pointing out that in this new era where reality is reconstructed, how to establish the relationship between imagination, reality and knowledge has gained importance, Kalın said, “Is there any information that Islamic thought can offer on this issue? ” he asked.

İbrahim Kalın finally said that concepts such as Metaverse are changing very rapidly and that much more reading and research should be done to gain knowledge in this field.
“The pace of change has increased so much that we experience the changes that took place in a hundred years in the past in decades now, and the changes that took place in decades have become available in a few years.
These new concepts will become tools that increasingly shape our world.
Now we have started to become the slaves of the tools, technologies and instruments that we produce with our own hands. We need to think about these.”
In the past weeks, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan had instructed his staff to organize a workshop on the “Metaverse” and to carry out a meticulous study on this subject.
