While leaving 2021 behind, Metaverse left its mark on the last quarter of the year. The hype that rose when Facebook changed its name to Meta has caused many technology and retail giants to focus on Metaverse-oriented projects.
Mansur Yavaş, who served as the head of the Metropolitan Municipality in Ankara, the capital of Turkey, published his new year message within the theme of Metaverse.
In the image, which uses the Mansur Yavaş avatar created in the digital environment, what Yavaş brought to Ankara in 2021 was transferred in 3D. Atakule and Ankara silhouettes behind the President were also appreciated.
In the post he shared on his social media account, Yavaş “Installing Bld 4.0 v22…” message signaled that in 2022 we may see a much more technology-integrated municipal understanding.
Although each year with you may be a short moment, I know we have a long way to go together. 😊

Many municipalities in the USA, including New York, are struggling to integrate cryptocurrencies with municipal services and create an extra source of income for their provinces. There has been no action from Turkey in this regard yet. After the regulations to be made, we look forward to which municipality will step into the crypto money field first.
