Local satellite İMECE was on the agenda

In his statement, Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kacır celebrated İMECE’s first year in space, and also gave another good news. Accordingly, the highly anticipated TÜRKSAT 6A will be sent into space on July 8, 2024. This news was interpreted as an important breakthrough for the technological progress of our country. It is estimated that new projects will come quickly.

İMECE, which can reach an altitude of approximately 700 km, can move at a speed of 27 thousand km per hour. It can also display an area 16 km wide and 1000 km long in a single frame. The satellite, which captures extremely successful visuals at sub-meter resolution, was designed by TÜBİTAK UZAY. The vehicle, which is more than 60% domestic, can instantly send the images it receives to the station it is connected to with a full 320 Mbps data rate. İMECE, which is benefited by many strategic state institutions, is expected to achieve significant success in the future.
