Global technology company LG introduced its new artificial intelligence agent robot designed to assist with household chores and improve the smart home experience. With this introduction, LG, which has a wide range of products from phones to white goods, from computers to televisions, also entered the field of artificial intelligence.

LG’s new vehicle is described as a cute autonomous robot equipped with artificial intelligence and multi-modal technologies, allowing it to move, learn, grasp and engage in complex conversations.
According to Lyu Jae-cheol, President of LG Electronics Home Appliances and Air Solutions Company, the purpose of the artificial intelligence tool is for LG to provide smart solutions for a more enjoyable life at home. Its motto is “to help customers relieve themselves of household chores”.
The AI vehicle has a distinctive “bipod” wheel design that enables independent navigation in the home environment. Beyond its mobility, LG emphasizes its communication capabilities, stating that the robot can not only chat with users but also express emotions through movement. Multimodal AI integrates voice and image recognition with natural language processing, allowing the robot to understand context and intent.

Functioning as a mobile smart home hub, the AI vehicle connects and controls a variety of smart home appliances and IoT devices. Collaborating with Qualcomm Technologies, LG equips its artificial intelligence tool with the Qualcomm Robotics RB5 Platform, providing powerful on-device features such as face and user recognition.
The robot is also equipped with a camera, speaker system, and sensors to collect real-time environmental data, including temperature, humidity, and indoor air quality.
LG predicts that the AI tool will serve multiple roles, including pet monitor and security guard. It can provide users with the ability to monitor and care for their pets remotely, sending alerts when unusual activity is detected.
The robot can autonomously patrol the home and notify homeowners of windows or lights left on when they are not at home. Additionally, the AI tool greets users at the front door when they return, analyzes their emotions through voice and facial expressions, and adapts music or content to suit their mood.
