LG and Samsung are working on folding iPhone!

The new player in the smartphone market that has attracted attention in recent years has been foldable models. In this direction, many companies from Samsung to Huawei started to introduce new models every year. Even though it is a new technology, it is growing its market volume with great momentum. Apple, which wants a share from this market, started to look for screens for its own folding iPhone models.

Apple wants the world’s thinnest panel for folding iPhone models!

Almost all of the foldable phones on the market use panels produced to similar standards. However, it is known that all of them have wrinkles that start at the micro level in long use. Apple, on the other hand, wants the folding iPhone model to be different from other devices on the market in this area.

We expect to see not only a folding iPhone, but also a new iPad model in the future. That’s why Apple is asking LG and Samsung to produce the world’s most flexible and thinner OLED panel.

Huawei Mate 50 series broke a record before it was introduced!

Huawei has confirmed that it will introduce the Mate 50 series next week. But it already looks like it’s going to break sales records.

Typical rigid OLED panels often use an inelastic glass material for the substrate. On the other hand, folding phones such as Fold 4 are preferred instead of glass. However, as we mentioned, after very long use, wrinkles that start at the micro level and gradually increase occur.

Apple, on the other hand, plans to use a hybrid material that uses both glass and plastic. But doing this is quite difficult and requires technology that many panel manufacturers do not have. That’s why Apple is working with Samsung and LG.

Reportedly, these two companies will use a 2mm thick hybrid material instead of the typical 5mm thick plastic or glass layer found in the substrate. This will both facilitate stretching and prevent possible wrinkles in long-term use. Of course, it will be more durable because it is harder than plastic.
