Lenovo will revolutionize laptops!

With the start of the Tech World 2022 event, Lenovo showcased its new technologies on a video prepared. The company’s rollable OLED screen technology and the laptop prototype that hosts an expanding screen by using this technology to the fullest attracted a lot of attention.

Once upon a time, laptops were far from what desktop computers were capable of. Therefore, they did not have much use other than being portable. Today, laptops do almost everything that desktop computers can do.

At this point, we can count the small screens of laptop models as the only disadvantage. Although there are laptops with large screens, these models also create problems in terms of practicality. The prototype introduced by Lenovo seems to be designed to eliminate this problem.

Lenovo had previously taken the first step towards a foldable laptop with the ThinkPad X1 Fold. Now, with this prototype, we are faced with a laptop with a much more useful screen. This computer, which looks like a standard laptop at first, provides much more space to work with its expanding screen.

In the shared video, we see that the computer screen slowly grows and doubles as it slides. Combining the OLED screen with a rotating mechanism, Lenovo certainly seems to have done a pretty good job.

Of course, there are some concerns about the prototype. While the durability of this bendable screen is the first question mark, the extra weight that the added sliding mechanism will bring is another point that makes us question. Another problem that comes to mind is the possible balance problems that the computer may experience when the screen is enlarged.

However, no matter what, Lenovo can start a new era in laptop models with this technology. On the other hand, it is not yet certain whether this prototype will turn into reality. With the development of OLED screens, we can see such laptop models from Lenovo in the future.
