Kurt Krömer cancels the show: That’s how Faisal Kawusi pissed him off entertainment

On his talk show “Chez Kroemer” Comedian Kurt Krömer (48) is known for provoking his guests. With THIS guest, however, it was the other way around: in conversation with Faisal Kawusi (31), it became too much for the moderator – and he broke off the show without further ado.

What happened? It was about Kawusi’s insensitive jokes. In April, the comedian caused disbelief with a comment on a photo of influencer Joyce Ilg (39). At the time, Ilg wrote under a post by himself and Luke Mockridge (33): “Did any of you find eggs here? I only got a few knockout drops.”

YouTuber Silvi Carlsson (30) then said: “I almost died from knockout drops. Not cool, Joyce.” Faisal then chimed in, “Next time I’ll up the dose, I promise.”

It’s not possible, said his fans. The former “Let’s Dance” contestant later apologized. Kurt Krömer picked up the subject again.

On the show, Kawusi explained the misstep like this: “At that moment, my goal was to upset her, and I definitely succeeded. We all know whether it was good now: definitely no.”

Krömer replied: “But don’t you think about it beforehand? Knockout drops are used to immobilize women and then rape them.”

No, apparently Kawusi hadn’t considered that: “Are you trying to tell me that you’ve never made a joke about a topic that has a very serious background? Do you really want to sit down in this ivory tower and point down like everyone else and say: Kawusi, you’re the only one who has ever made a joke about a topic that has a serious background?”

Krömer promptly made it clear: “I have never made fun of rape victims. I’ve made fun of illnesses, I make fun of my own depression.”

For Kawusi, the whole thing was an “obvious attack on Silvi Carlsson”. He “didn’t really think that big”. Krömer then described his apology as “the usual regret when you realize that the checks will soon be forthcoming”. Why? Because, according to Krömer, Kawusi hasn’t learned anything.

Because: Only shortly afterwards he made the next faux pas. Sharing a picture of himself on Instagram, he wrote, “I’m so KO’d by the sun. And that without any drops.”

“It doesn’t look like you’ve learned anything from the shit you’ve already done,” criticized Krömer.

Kawusi explanation: His intention was completely different from the beginning. Krömer then drew his attention to a third immoral joke: “You also racially insulted Motsi Mabuse at the ‘Comedy Night XXL’. You asked if Motsi couldn’t understand the apes in ‘Planet of the Apes’, even if they only make animal noises.”

Kawusi’s excuse: “I didn’t want that, but obviously I have it, yes.” Has it ever crossed his mind that his jokes are just not funny? After all, he constantly moves “from one minority to the other,” says Krömer.

Finally, Krömer finally burst his collar: “You only talk shit.” And further: “We only have assholes here now, we have only had ass fiddles, including you.”

Krömer then left the room. The show would have continued for two and a half minutes.
