Rian Johnson has officially announced the third installment of the successful Knives Out film series. Daniel Craig will return as Benoit Blanc to once again solve a mystery. Knives Out 3 trailer and release date have also been released!
Knives Out 3: Wake Up Dead Man trailer, to be released in 2025
Johnson shared a short trailer on his social media accounts and announced that Wake Up Dead Man will be released in 2025 and that Craig will return to the series as Detective Benoit Blanc.
Daniel Craig says in the trailer, “Knives came out at the beginning of the storm. Then, lo and behold, the glass broke. But my most dangerous case has yet to be announced,” we hear him voice-over. Story details have not been disclosed yet.
The first Knives Out movie earned $312 million at the box office on a budget of just $40 million. The second film, Glass Onion, had a one-week theatrical release before being released on Netflix and received a Best Adapted Screenplay nomination at the 95th Academy Awards.

The first movie took its name from a Radiohead song. Glass Onion is a song from The Beatles’ White Album and there are plenty of Beatles references in the movie. Wake Up Dead Man is one of the songs from the U2 album Pop, released in 1997.
