One person was killed and another injured in a knife attack in the French capital Paris.
According to police sources on Saturday evening, the suspected attacker was arrested. During the crime he is said to have shouted “Allah Akbar” (German: “God is great”), he was “born in France” and “French”. This is reported by the French newspaper “Le Figaro”.
“The police have just bravely arrested an attacker who attacked passers-by around the Quai de Grenelle in Paris,” wrote France’s Interior Minister Gérald Darmanin (41) on X (formerly Twitter). “One person died and one injured person was treated by the Paris Fire Department.”
