Apple has become one of the most powerful names in the world of wearable technology. The technology giant closed 2023 with a series of products introduced in September. The company, which had a very good year in general terms, made an interesting decision.
Apple Watch Series 9 and Watch Ultra 2 removed from US Apple store
Apple has been struggling for a while due to the ongoing patent dispute with medical device company Masimo. The reviews ended and the company faced an Apple Watch ban. That’s why Apple Watch Series 9 and Watch Ultra 2 have been removed from the Apple store in the US.
In October, the ITC launched an investigation into whether the Apple Watch’s blood oxygen feature infringes on two Masimo patents. The 60-day investigations are over and the Apple Watch ban has begun in the USA. Although US President Joe Biden had the authority to veto this decision, he did nothing, creating a reaction on Apple’s side. Additionally, Apple will file an appeal with the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit on December 26.
