Istanbul Governor’s Office has imposed restrictions for motorcouriers!

A warning was issued by the Meteorology Headquarters in Istanbul, where the long-awaited snowfall began. A yellow coded warning came in Istanbul, where strong storms and snowfall are expected. After the developments, the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality and the Governor’s Office warned the public against the weather and started to take precautions.

Time warning came for motocouriers and scooters

It is estimated that the snowfall, which is expected to show its effect this evening, will increase its strength on Tuesday and Wednesday. The rains will lose their effect from Thursday. According to the latest weather reports, a yellow coded warning came from MGM.

Along with the yellow coded warning, a critical decision was taken for motorcouriers. According to the statement made by Istanbul Governor Ali Yerlikaya, after 18.00, motorcouriers and electric scooters will not be allowed to go to traffic.

Scooter debate grows in Istanbul: Three companies have withdrawn from Istanbul!

According to the decision made at the İBB UKOME meeting, three companies left the Istanbul market. In this way, 8,234 scooters will no longer be in Istanbul.

Governor Ali Yerlikaya’s statement on Twitter is as follows:

“My dear fellow citizens, due to the storm, sleet and snowfall that is expected to increase its impact in our province as of 18.00; motorcycles, electric scooters and motorcouriers will NOT be allowed to go out to traffic.”

With the increasing snowfall, the roads can become quite dangerous for motorcouriers. In addition to the cold, other vehicles in traffic pose a danger to motorcycles with the decrease of visibility. With this decision, possible problems that may occur especially in bad weather conditions will be prevented.
