They look like a wall. A wall of black helmets and uniforms. The men harass a young woman who is standing on the street with her hair loose and wearing jeans. “POLICE” is written on the men’s backs.
They are becoming more and more. They tear at the woman. One grabs her by the shoulder and throws her to the ground, so violently that the woman hits her head backwards on the high black and yellow curb. Now the men stand in front of them. One, standing directly above her, draws his baton. At this point the video breaks off.
This video is from last Sunday. It was recorded in the Iranian city of Shiraz. Iranian-American journalist Masih Alinejad shared it on Twitter and Instagram.
