iPhone 16 series can be powered by A18 Pro chip

Apple offered four devices in the iPhone 15 series, but the Pro and Pro Max models included much more advanced features. For example, while the old generation A16 Bionic was used in the iPhone 15 and Plus, the Pro versions switched to the A17 Pro chip. However, it is said that Apple will not continue this tradition with the iPhone 16.

All iPhone 16s will use 3nm A18 Pro

Apple seems to reverse the chip strategy it started with the iPhone 14 series. If the new predictions are correct, all four iPhone 16 models to be released in 2024 will be powered by the same chipset (A18 Pro).

New leaks from China claim that Apple will close the gap between iPhone 16 models. Analysts claimed that the A18 Pro will power all models. Accordingly, the chip will be produced by TSMC and will be a 3nm chip.

Apple will update unopened iPhones. Distribution will be made wirelessly at the Apple Store. Here are the details.

For those who don’t know, Apple did not equip all iPhone models with the same processor in 2022 for the first time. The iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max are powered by the 4nm A16 Bionic, while the iPhone 14 and 14 Plus were based on the previous year’s 5nm A15 Bionic chip.

The company continued this trend in 2023, but equipped the iPhone 15 Pro series with a processor built on a 3nm chip, which it calls A17 Pro. We should point out that iPhone 15 and 15 Plus are powered by A16 Bionic.

Apple may be reverting to its old strategy by making the A18 Pro standard for all four iPhone 16s. This will close the performance gap in iPhone models and allow them to stand out with features such as camera and screen.
