Apple has informed Swiss website MacPrime that it plans to roll out the satellite emergency SOS feature to a few more countries by the end of this year, and will continue to include more countries over the next year.
It’s not entirely clear when the feature will launch in other countries. In addition, the fact that Apple provides the service for free for two years strengthens the thoughts that at the end of two years it will be based on a fee.
