The iPhone 14 family, which was introduced in the past weeks, has a Lightning input, as in the old models. iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max users have criticized Apple for the speed of the Lightning connector.
Apple used USB 3.0 technology, which can reach 5 Gbps in the iPad Pro model introduced in 2015. However, the iPhone models produced by the company still allow data transfer with USB 2.0 technology.
iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max get stuck on Lightning speed block
The iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max models introduced this year have a 48 Megapixel camera. Photos taken with the ProRAW technology developed by Apple appear with an average size of 75 MB.
The iPhone 14 Pro’s Lightning connector supports 480 Mbps transfer speed, just like its predecessors. Users stated that the transfer speed is quite slow for transferring ProRAW images taken with the iPhone 14 Pro to another device with a Lightning cable.
As a solution to this problem, Apple announced that users who want to transfer ProRAW files to Mac or other Apple devices in full resolution can use AirDrop technology. According to the leaked information, Apple will meet users with a Type-C connector instead of Lightning in the iPhone 15 series.
