According to a study by the British fund provider Janus Henderson, the sum of global dividend payments in the third quarter of 2021 increased by a good fifth compared to the previous year – to $ 403.5 billion, which is a new record.
The asset managers now expect the distributions for the year as a whole to return to the level they were before the corona crisis. The study is available to the Handelsblatt.
“The dividends are recovering faster than expected. It is driven by improved corporate balance sheets and growing optimism, ”said Ben Lofthouse, senior equity fund manager at Janus Henderson.
