Intel Arc Alchemist will offer performance increases with the update

Intel Arc Alchemist graphics cards equipped with Xe Matrix Extensions (XMX), the Intel version of Nvidia’s Tensor cores, came to the fore with the new update. Intel Arc Alchemist models managed to increase artificial intelligence (AI) performance by 2.7 times thanks to the update. Here are the details…

Intel Arc Alchemist graphics cards will increase performance with the update

GPU cores, which Intel calls XMX, are capable of accelerating AI workloads such as Stable Diffusion. However, since there was no Microsoft Olive support in older versions of the drivers, XMX cores could not reach the expected performance.

Intel’s latest Arc Alchemist drivers deliver a 2.7x performance boost in AI renderer Stable Diffusion. While some of this increase is due to old-fashioned optimization that the Intel driver team is well-known for, most of the increase is thanks to Microsoft Olive. Let’s note that Microsoft Olive software basically has an algorithm that takes an artificial intelligence or machine learning model and then finds all the ways different hardware can speed it up.

Is a raise coming? Nvidia stopped the production of two graphics cards!

Is a raise coming? Nvidia stopped the production of two graphics cards!

Production of Nvidia RTX 4070 Ti and RTX 4080 graphics cards has been stopped. Nvidia focused on the SUPER series, which it will introduce in a few months.

On the AMD side, there is no hardware specifically prepared for AI. Despite this, graphics cards with RDNA 3 architecture have better performance in AI-based operations such as Stable Diffusion compared to RDNA 2.

Analysts state that AMD prefers its own methods to optimize its drivers for AI operations rather than Microsoft Olive. However, it is estimated that the company will soon increase its artificial intelligence performance with Microsoft Olive.
