Instagram Note feature emulates MSN!

The Instagram Note feature, which was first introduced last December, allows users to write any message they want with a 60-character limit. The Notes section, which offers its users a different way to express themselves, will now host a new feature.

Instagram takes its users to the past

The Instagram Note service takes users to the past with its new feature. Users will now be able to add a 30-second clip of a song and a short description alongside the song to their status update. Followers will thus be able to listen to the songs by clicking on this section.

With this feature, Instagram brought to mind the days of MSN. MSN’s ‘What am I listening to?’ With the feature, you could actively transfer what you were listening to your friends via Winamp or Windows Media Player. With the Notes section on Instagram, people will now be able to listen to excerpts from their favorite songs.

With the new Note feature of the social media platform, it aims to have more users adopt this service. This service, which has been seen to be used by young users only, is aimed to be used more frequently in the near future. Instagram also announced that a translation button will be added under the Note section for posts in other languages. In this way, it is planned to eliminate the language barrier in the Note feature.

The Notes feature is just a small part of Meta’s new approach by investing in text-based products that can compete with platforms like Twitter. It is estimated that the new application, codenamed “Project 92”, will likely be a standalone application and may surface at the end of the month.
