Aiming to offer more comprehensive privacy and security features especially for young people, Instagram has brought the feature it calls the Age Check Verification Scheme, that is, the Age Check Certification Program, as of today.

After this long ban, the Instagram page of the website that produces adult content was activated last weekend.
Thanks to the application, which has been implemented in many countries, including Turkey, a user will be asked to verify their age when they want to change their age from under 18 to over 18. He can do this by uploading an official ID card or taking a video showing his face.
While the latter option raises some concerns, the platform says this video will be reviewed using new ageing technology. It does this by sharing it with Yoti, an approved age verification company, within the framework of all privacy principles.
It is also said that Yoti uses an algorithm that only estimates age, without any identification-like feature. After the process is completed, the relevant video is automatically deleted from both Yoti’s and Meta’s databases.
The data obtained while this feature is still in the testing phase is as follows:
