“Indiana Jones” shoot with Harisson Ford: crew member found dead – people

Another death overshadows the shooting of a film with a star cast.

Tragic news from the set of “Indiana Jones 5”: A member of the crew is dead, found lifeless in his hotel in the city of Fez in northeastern Morocco.

Cinematographer Nic Cupac († 54) was a professional in his job and worked on around 60 Hollywood productions. These include the Harry Potter films, Jurassic World and Guardians of the Galaxy.

Cupac worked loudly “The Sun“On a special stunt for the Indiana Jones film, for which Harrison Ford (79), Mads Mikkelsen (55), Antonio Banderas (61) and Thomas Kretschmann (59) are in front of the camera.

For the stunt, Cupac and about 100 other people were driven to the set in Morocco. The professional is said to have been responsible for an action scene with a rickshaw. Snippets of video from filming at the end of October are circulating on Twitter.

How Nick Cupac died is not known. According to initial findings, it should not be a crime, but a natural cause of death.

There is currently no more information about the tragedy. It is also unclear whether main actor Harrison Ford was in Morocco at the time of Cupac’s death. A few weeks ago, the Hollywood star shot scenes in Sicily as Indiana Jones.

Cinema fans have to wait longer for “Indiana Jones”

The fact is: The filming of “Indiana Jones 5” directed by James Mangold (“Walk the Line”) has been delayed or stopped several times in the past.

► They started in England at the beginning of June. Due to the corona pandemic, the start of production had been postponed several times.

► Then Harrison Ford sustained a nasty shoulder injury while rehearsing a fight scene and had to sit out for three months.

► Due to rising corona numbers, Morocco had banned flights to and from Great Britain.

Instead of July 2022, the adventure saga will not be released until June 2023. Cult star Ford will be 81 years old.
