The Tax Procedure Law Communiqué published in the Official Gazette announced many hikes that we will face in 2022. The revaluation rate, which was 9.11 in 2021, this year 36.20% it happened. This means that the increase rate of many taxes, fees and penalties is 36.20%.

The hikes in traffic fines, passport fees and many other taxes will also hit smart phones, one of the most important issues of our site. As it is known, according to subparagraph (B) of the repetitive article 298 of the Tax Procedure Law No. 213, the revaluation rate is the average that occurred in the Domestic Producer Price Index of the Turkish Statistical Institute in October of the year to be revaluated (including October) compared to the same period of the previous year. is the price increase rate and this rate should be announced by the Ministry of Treasury and Finance in the Official Gazette. How will the revaluation rate be reflected in taxes, fees and penalties? Here is the new version of many fees:

• passport fees As of January 1, it will be given as 339 TL for 6 months, 452 TL for 1 year, 738 TL for 2 years, 1,048 TL for 3 years and 1,477 TL for 3 years.
• driver’s license fees Class B driver’s license will increase from 820 TL to 1,116 TL. Class A driver’s license fee will increase from 272 TL to 320 TL.
• Fee for IMEI registrationAs of 2022, it will be determined as 117 TL. The IMEI fee for the phones brought by passengers from abroad will increase from 2,000 TL to 2,772 TL.
• Motor Vehicle Tax (MTV) from one to three years old will be organized as follows:
  For those with a cylinder volume of 1.300 cc and below, 1.051 TL-1261 TL, 1.431.46 TL-1.1717.48 TL
  Between 1,301 cc – 1,600 cc 1,830 TL – 2,197 TL, 2,492,40 TL – 2,992.34 TL
  4001 cc and above will be paid as 45,932 TL-50,107 TL, 62,559 TL-68,245,74 TL.
