In Berlin, an old center comes into focus

Berlin Wide streets and turning lanes line the intersection around the area on Kurfürstenstrasse in Berlin’s City West, not far from the posh department store KaDeWe on Tauentzien and Kurfürstendamm. A paradise for motorists, an impertinence for everyone else.

Adalbert von Uckermann is proud to be involved in the redesign of the area. The managing director of the Jahr Group is something of a pioneer in the development of one of the corner properties with buildings from the 1960s and 1970s. The building permit came in February and the civil engineering work began.

The property has been owned by the Jahr Group since 1967. This is where the “Pressehaus Constanze” stood, which had been vacant for years. It was the first German women’s magazine after the Second World War that gave the building its name.
