Famous historian Prof. Dr. İlber Ortaylı brought the issue to the minimum wage in his speech on the social cause of femicide. Ortaylı started a brand new discussion by stating that the minimum wage should be banned in Istanbul.

İlber Ortaylı said in his statement that he talked about femicides. “Men cannot tolerate the changing lives of women, and the murders are on the rise. Minimum wage should be banned in Istanbul. Minimum wage should not be applied in this city. Under the stairs workshops, fake workshops, underground textile shops, strange chemical leather shops should have no place in this city.”
