Berlin Ms. Guttmann, in your early 20s you gave up your dream job for the “last generation”. Why did you decide to do this?
I used to have nothing to do with the climate bubble; I grew up in a conservative, middle-class background. It was a well-paid, permanent job. At some point I realized that this would no longer give me any security once the climate catastrophe really escalated.
You started your climate protest with containers, now you’re sticking yourself to the streets. What’s next?
We have a clear plan of what we will do and what we won’t do. That our protests are always peaceful, but must disrupt people’s everyday lives.
We were with the decision-makers in politics. Most people notice the roadblocks because they interrupt their everyday lives.
