First of all, if I evaluate it in terms of design, I can say that Samsung gives a more premium and user-friendly feel. When I hold the phone in my hand, it provides a more comfortable grip and is easier to use. I can say that I prefer Samsung when it comes to design.
As for the differences between operating systems, Xiaomi’s MIUI interface seems a little more useful. However, Samsung’s One UI interface offers richer additional features. Although Xiaomi is one step ahead in terms of usability, Samsung’s extra features should also be valued.
When it comes to screen experience, the latest models of both brands offer similar performance. However, Samsung’s extra brightness feature makes it easier to use in high light. Therefore, I can say that Samsung is one step ahead when it comes to the screen.
In terms of camera performance, Xiaomi’s AI photo processing seems to be better. I observed that Xiaomi gives better results in night shots. However, Samsung’s camera performance is not bad either, only Xiaomi is a little ahead.
Regarding the ecosystem, I can say that its integration with Samsung’s SmartThings application is better. However, its integration with the Xiaomi phone is weaker. Therefore, if you are using devices belonging to Samsung’s ecosystem, it may be better to choose a Samsung phone.
Regarding battery and charging, I think Xiaomi is a little more optimized. However, the fact that Samsung does not include a fast charging adapter in the box can be seen as a shortcoming.
Finally, I would like to point out that Samsung’s GoodLock application is user-friendly when it comes to additional features. However, I experienced some minor problems, such as not being able to turn on the flash in wide angle mode.
In conclusion, both brands have their own pros and cons. However, in my experience, switching from Xiaomi to Samsung is doable. However, each user’s preferences may be different, so it is important that you decide according to your own needs and preferences.
