Hunt: Showdown new generation update has arrived!

Crytek has announced a free next-gen update for Hunt: Showdown, the popular multiplayer first-person shooter. However, there is also a downside. The company announced that support for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of the game will be terminated with the new update. and also announced the release of a free next-gen update for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.

Hunt: Showdown offers a tense experience where players hunt monsters by colliding together or against each other. According to Crytek’s announcement, with the next generation update that will be released on August 15, players will have access to various features such as a new map, an upgrade to CryEngine version 5.11, performance improvements and innovations in user interface design. The update will be released for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series S|X.

With this update, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One users will no longer be able to play the game. Crytek stated that players’ accounts, rights and DLCs will be transferred to the next generation version for free. Additionally, the company announced that more details about the update will be shared in the coming months.

This update will also offer clues about Hunt: Showdown’s future design and content direction. Crytek’s to-do list includes community feedback, strategies to combat cheating and toxic behavior, and changes to game mechanics and progression systems.
