Oppo, one of the fastest names in the smartphone world, had a very productive year 2022. With the partnerships it has planned, the company wants to end this year by adding strength to its strength. In this context, Oppo, which took the initiative, announced another important partnership.
Oppo and OnePlus reach $1.43 billion investment deal
OnePlus 9 celebrated its annual adventure with an event on Saturday. One of the most important news at the event was the investment made by Oppo. Oppo will gradually invest $1.43 billion in OnePlus over the next three years.
The new “dual-brand” strategy will, in a sense, benefit OnePlus’ flagship models. With the partnership, OnePlus products will be able to benefit from repair services at Oppo service centers. The first steps of the partnership will be taken in China. On the other hand, this deal is not the only deal Oppo has made in the last few days.
Continuing its debut this year, Oppo has entered into an agreement with another Chinese company, Huawei, covering 5G, WiFi, audio and video codecs. Huawei and Oppo announced that they have signed a cross-license agreement to present their knowledge on these issues to each other.
Under the terms of the agreement, Huawei will provide connection technical information to Oppo. Oppo, on the other hand, has a long experience in high-quality audio and video consumer electronics. Huawei will also benefit from this experience with the agreement.
