Motor Vehicles Tax (MTV) for 2023 has been announced. President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan used his right of discount for MTV. According to the decision published in the Official Gazette, 50 percent discount was applied to MTV. Motor Vehicles Tax will be applied at the level of 61.5 percent in 2023.
How much will the Motor Vehicles Tax be in 2023?
With the new decision published in the Official Gazette, the Motor Vehicles Tax (MTV) rate to be applied in 2023 has been determined. President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan chose to go for a discount for MTV and made the car owners happy. It has been decided that the rate to be applied on January 1, 2023 will be 61.5 percent.
Previously, the revaluation rate of Motor Vehicles Tax was adjusted to be 122.93 percent for 2023. However, President Erdogan had the right to go for a 50 percent discount. According to the information in the Official Gazette, Erdogan used this right.
The rate of increase in taxes, fees and penalties has been announced!
The effective revaluation rate has been determined in determining the increase in taxes, fees and penalties for 2023. The decision was published in the Official Gazette.
This decision of the President pleased the car owners. If the valuation rate had been applied for the new year, MTV would have been applied at the level of 122.93 percent. Thus, the Motor Vehicles Tax was reduced by half.
In the statement published in the Official Gazette, it was stated that “It has been determined as 61.5% to be applied to the motor vehicle tax amounts in 2023”. Let us remind you that the new MTV rate will come into effect from January 1st.
