Published recently by a South Korean TikTok phenomenon viral iPhone-iPad videomanaged to take the platform by storm with thousands of likes. The video shows the photo copied from the iPhone with one hand gesture and pasted to the iPad Pro with a simple hand gesture.

As interesting as the video may seem, it’s actually nothing more than a very old iOS trick. Apple’s Continuity and Handoff part of the Universal Clipboard This copy-paste trick with the feature can be tested across all Apple devices.

Apple lets you use Continuity and Handoff functions across all devices connected to a single Apple ID. With Continuity, a feature of the Universal Clipboard, you can easily switch from one device to another and simply drag your files from the previous device.

To use Universal Clipboard, your iPhone, iPad, and Mac must have at least iOS 10, iPadOS 13, and macOS 10.12 systems are required. If your system supports it, go to Settings > General > AirPlay & Handoff on iPhone or iPad and enable Handoff.

To use the copy-paste trick from one Apple device to another, on all devices your bluetooth you have to make sure it is enabled and connected to each other. You must also sign in with the same Apple ID on all Apple devices.
