Dusseldorf How should we talk about war? Many companies are unsure how to react appropriately to the situation in Ukraine. The supermarket chain Edeka reaped a shit storm with a social media posting in blue and yellow and the slogan “Freedom is a food” despite many likes.
Other companies decide to act directly, for example by collecting donations, such as the chemical giant BASF or the software company SAP, both of which have locations in Ukraine. SAP even announced that it would stop its business in Russia; a response to a direct request from the Ukrainian government. Other companies have taken similar steps.
