Frankfurt Share prices are bouncing back and forth wildly, after losing double-digits in some cases since the beginning of the year. In these weeks, investors are looking for orientation in the mixture of high inflation, tighter central bank policy, the emerging threat of recession and the Ukraine war. In order to offer this orientation, the Handelsblatt spoke to various professional investors about how they are now positioning themselves.

Asset managers for wealthy customers see the central banks in particular as paving the way for a turning point on the stock exchanges. For Oliver Leipholz, Member of the Board of Management at Deutsche Oppenheim Family Office, which belongs to Deutsche Bank, the key question is: “Can the leading central banks prepare an interest rate environment that will bring the economy and thus the capital markets to a new normality without going into a recession to sag?”
