One of Turkey’s popular cryptocurrency exchanges Paribu “Cryptocurrency Awareness and Perception Research” published its third report.
In the report prepared by Akademetre Research company on behalf of Paribu, the most up-to-date data on the adoption of cryptocurrencies in Turkey were shared.
It was stated that the report was made with a face-to-face interview technique on a sample group that is thought to represent Turkey.
How Many Million Cryptocurrency Users Are There in Turkey?
The highlights of the report are as follows:
“As of 2022, it is estimated that the number of people making transactions with crypto money in Turkey is over 8 million.
Confidence in cryptocurrencies in Turkey increased by 59% compared to last year. According to the report, 4 out of 10 people who hear about crypto money stated that they can trust it as an investment tool.
In 2022, the proportion of people transacting with cryptocurrencies increased by 74% compared to the previous year.
The number of people hearing about cryptocurrencies increased by 11% compared to 2021.
9 out of 10 people prefer cryptocurrencies with the expectation of “high returns”.
“Do you think regulation is necessary?” 7 out of 10 people answered that it is necessary. “What should it cover?” The question was answered in the form of money protection and taxation.”
Speaking about the report Yasin Oral, CEO of Paribu,
“In the most comprehensive perception survey in Turkey, which we conducted for the third time this year, we see that the interest and trust in crypto money has increased significantly. Accordingly, we can say that users have started to adopt this market and products. We hope that the interest and curiosity in not only crypto money, but also blockchain and new technological products will increase in the next year.”
