Alternative investments like private equity could do well in 2022.
Frankfurt The year 2022 will probably no longer be a sure-fire success on the stock market. The price setbacks of these days have shown that. And government bond yields remain meager and below the inflation rate despite tighter monetary policy. This means that the so-called “alternatives” will continue to gain favor with investors.
The risk premiums in the “private markets” apart from the public exchanges are still attractive, according to Blackrock’s latest “2022 Private Markets Outlook”. The asset class is also benefiting from the megatrends of digitization and climate protection – however, the selection of managers and strategies is becoming more important, says the world’s largest asset manager at the start of the year.
