How do I provide for old age? Frugalist, salary coach and manager give tips

Oliver Noelting, Tina Groll, and Kyra Dohrin

The three experts report on how they make provisions parallel to their job.

Dusseldorf On average, people in Germany retire at the age of 64 – and this age limit will continue to rise. If you don’t want to wait so long for retirement and want to leave your job early, you should make provisions in good time.

So far, only about half of Germans actively take care of their own old-age provision. That could be tight later, because the average pension is currently only 1500 euros gross.

But not only the amount of the pension is a good reason to start thinking about later. If you start building your own wealth early in your career, you will not only have more in your account later on, but above all a lot more freedom.

We asked a frugalist, a salary coach, and a senior executive how they save while they’re on the job.
